Week of January 26th

 YAY!!! Back together again! I hope everyone stays safe and healthy, and that we can continue learning together-TOGETHER!!!

Unit Theme- The Four Seasons

SNOW PLAY: There is a possibility that we may get a little snow on Tuesday and a beautiful Sunny day on Wed. This NEVER happens-so I would like to have a SNOW PLAY DAY on Wednesday 1/27. Please send your child with a FULL snow set up in a bag with their name on it. Boots, Hats, Gloves, Snowpants (or a change of pants) and a warm jacket. WE will be going on the playground close to 11:30-so we get as much sun as possible. The AM children will be heading home straight from our outside play. All Day Friends will change out of their snow things before lunch. 

Pre-K Parents Teacher Conferences: Will be held on Thursday, Jan. 28th via ZOOM. I will send an email with your Time and the ZOOM code. If you have not yet signed up please let me know ASAP so I can give you a time slot.

 Catholic Schools Week: Begins on Jan31st. There will be a Open House by Appointment. Please spread the word of our little wonderful school! If you are registering for Kindergarten at STS please do so before CSW or talk with Ms Hopkins in the Main Office. 

Week of January 18th

 Monday, January 18th we celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Please say an extra prayer of PEACE for our country in honor of this peaceful man.

Tues: Our lessons will focus on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. There will be a virtual ZOOM class at 9:00am. NO ZOOM CLASS at 3:00-I have a dentist appointment.

Wed: Our lessons will focus on Letter Nn. Try and list some words that begin with Nn for our ZOOM class. You can share any of your work from Tues or Wed. at our ZOOM class. There will be a 9:00 and a 3:00 ZOOM class. No need to attend both, but welcome to if you wish.

Thurs: God's Time lessons. We will use our January 17th SEEDS booklet today. There will be a ZOOM class at 9:00 and at 3:00. You may attend both or just one.

Fri: Show N Tell. Our theme for Show N Tell is WINTER. You can show off your favorite hat or mittens, a picture of you playing in the snow, your sled or a picture of a snowman-anything WINTER. Be prepared to TELL about your SHOW! There will be a 9:00 and a 3:00 ZOOM class for Show N Tell. You only need to log in for one-they will both be just Show N Tell

Prayers, Prayers, Prayers- we are back in the classroom for Monday, Jan. 25th and continue through the school year! When we return please send all items, completed and not, back with your child in their bag. I would like to display much of the work so the children know how proud of them I am! I will have my stickers ready and waiting!!!!

Catholic Schools Week: begins on Sunday January, 31st. There will be an open house for families hoping to come to our school next year. This is a great opportunity for you to visit our wonderful Kindergarten Program. If you know of any family hoping to join our wonderful school, please refer them to our school office. 

Priority Registration: Before we open up registration to new families during CSW, we offer our current families priority registration. If you do not have the information sent out through the school email, please reach out to Ms. Hopkins in the office.

Week of January 11th

 This is an overview of the Virtual Week. Please let me know via email if there is anything you don't understand or if I can help in any way!

Monday- We will focus on Letter Mm and it's phonetic sound. We will complete a Mitten and Hat craft, read stories and list words that begin with Mm. Zoom Call at 3:00pm

Tuesday- We will focus on the number 10! We made it all the way to Ten already! 

Wednesday- We will do some exploring in the Artic and some wintery fun! Zoom Call at 3:00pm

Thursday- We will play a game with numbers and practice our counting and recognition skills.

Friday- God's Time! We will complete our SEEDS booklet for Baptism and have a Baptism Show N Tell. If your child knows the names of their Godparents and if they have any pictures or items from their baptism they would like to share via our ZOOM Call. Zoom call at 3:00pm

Week of January 4th

 Welcome to 2021! This is going to be a great year - full of blessings!

God's Time: Christmas and the Epiphany

Shape and Color of the Month: Rectangle and Black & White

Unit Theme: Seasons, Weather and Calendar. We will begin this Unit by celebrating New Years and the Winter Season

Parent-Teacher Conferences: We will be meeting Virtually for our Parent-Teacher Conferences. The date is Thursday, Jan 28th. There is a regular day of school for the children (there will be a substitute teacher). Please look for a Sign Up Genius to sign up for a  15/20 minute time slot.

Catholic Schools Week: CSW will be Sunday Jan 31st through Friday January 6th. We will have an Open House/Tour day on the 31st for new families and any families that would like to come and visit Kindergarten. Please keep an eye out for more information via the Friday Folder on the STS website. If you have any family or friends looking for a wonderful Pre-School/School please let them know about the 31st. Word of  mouth is always a great way to help our school family grow!

CSW will also be filled with fun activities for the children to enjoy and celebrate our wonderful school!
