Week of October 26

 It's HALLOWEEN!!!!

Letters- We will review letters Aa-Ff this week.

Numbers- Review numbers 1-5

Shape and Color- Triangle and Orange

Unit Theme-  Five Senses -We will complete our study of the Five SEnses with Pumpkin Day on Monday 10/26.

Show N Tell- October Show N Tell is Wed. Oct. 28th.  

Halloween- We will celebrate Halloween on Friday Oct. 30th. Please have the children dressed in costume. NO WEAPONS ALLOWED.  Please no extra pieces or label all pieces that come in. If your child wishes to change at lunchtime please send in a change of clothes or have clothes under their costume.

Nov. 1st School Mass at 10:30. 

Nov. 23rd and 24th: STS Big School has Noon Dismissals because they have Conferences. Our conferences take place in January. Pre-K will have a Regular Scheduled Day. If you wish for your child to go home at Noon with siblings I will need a note by Friday, Nov. 20th.

Week Of October 19th

 WOW we have been so blessed with beautiful weather!!! Fall Fun Day was a huge hit! The children had a blast and so did the teachers!!!

God's Time: Praying the Rosary and SEEDS-Jesus teaches us to Praise God

Shape and Color of the Month: Triangle and Orange

Unit Theme: Using our Five Senses to enjoy God's Creation

Buddy Time: We would like to get together with our Buddies for some Halloween Bingo. Please send in a labeled towel for your child to use outside.

Halloween Tag Day: Dress in Halloween Colors on Friday the 23rd. Any donation you can give will benefit our Eighth Grade.

Pumpkin Day: We will be completing our Unit on the Five Senses with a Pumpkin Day. I sent home a permission slip for your child to enjoy some Pumpkin Bread. Please send this back in ASAP.

Halloween Celebration: We will be celebrating Halloween on Friday Oct. 30th. We will not be able to have a Parade this year but I have planned many fun activities for the children in school. Please have the children come dressed in costume. NO COSTUME WEAPONS! If your child has extra pieces to their costume it is best to keep them home. If they do come in please be sure they are labeled. If your child wishes to change out of costume midday please send in a change of clothes. 

Room Moms are collecting small $ store or Party store party favors for a Class Goodie Bag. Please have all donations in by 10/23.

Trunk or Treat: STS is having it's Annual Trunk or Treat on Fri. Oct 30th. YOU MUST REGISTER ahead of time. See the Friday Folder on the School website.

 Please bring in a Towel that can remain in the classroom for a few weeks. LABEL it with your child's name. The children will use it to sit outside for a couple Fall Events I have planned.

FALL FUN DAY: It's finally here!!!! I love Fall Fun Day and I hope the children will enjoy it too! Looks like the weather will be beautiful! Dress according to the temperature because we will be outside most of the morning.

Scholastic Book Orders are Due

Halloween: Unfortunately, we will not be able to invite parents for our Halloween Parade, but I have lots of Halloween Fun planned for the children and a special surprise for mom and dad too!

The children will come to school dressed in costume. ABSOLUTELY NO COSTUME WEAPONS ALLOWED!!! Actually, any extra pieces you can keep home would be helpful! Label all costume pieces. If your child wishes to get dressed out of costume for the second half of the day please send them with a change of clothes. We will be playing outside if the weather permits so please have appropriate shoes and dress for the correct temperature. 

The room moms are collecting party favor items for a "Class Goodie Bag". Please send in any item you wish to donate toward the bag and label it Mrs. Wiggins  . NO CANDY or FOOD!!!!

September Show N Tell

Wednesday Oct. 1st is our September Show N Tell. Please be sure your Show follows at least one lesson from the month and have your child practice their Tell. Only One Item!

STS Annual St. Therese Walk A Thon

The Walk a Thon is on Oct 2nd -St. Therese Feast Day. We will be walking with all the children in the Big School. Print out the Sponsor form in the Friday Folder and support us in our walk. All children should be dressed for the weather and wear sneakers on Thursday Oct. 2nd.

Fall Fun Day

Wed. Oct. 14th Pre-K 3 and 4 will have a Fall Fun day with Pumpkin Picking, Crafts, and games. More info to follow...

Week of September 21

 WOW- September is flying by! The children are doing so amazing!!!

Weather- The weather is getting cooler. Please be sure to send in jackets so we can enjoy these beautiful Fall days! BTW-I do not allow Hood wearing on the playground. It limits the child's' vision. If it is cold out please send a hat.

Pre-K and Buddies Fall Picnic- This Friday 9/25 (raindate 10/2) Please bring Snack, Towel and Small animal in a tote bag for your child to carry to our picnic spot. Snack NEEDS to be separate from lunch.
