Week of June 3rd

 FINAL WEEK!!!! There are not enough crying emojis to show how I feel about this!!!

Monday: Final Show N Tell-Anything they would like to bring in. You must be able to TEll about your SHOW!!

Tuesday: Regular Day

Wednesday: Our last day as a FULL class! Final rehearsal for our show.

Thursday: Last Full Day of Pre-K 

                   NO AFTERCARE (8th grade graduation)

Friday: MOVING UP!!! 

              Begins at 1:00pm

              Drop students off at Learning Center (our classroom) by 12:15-12:45

               Dress students UP for the big day. Safe shoes for dancing and moving on stage. Girls need to have shorts or leggings under their dresses.

               Park in Learning Center Parking lot or the parking lot in front of the church. Our show will probably exceed carline formation so we must not be in the center parking lanes. 

               The children should bring NOTHING with them

                STS siblings should be signed out for the day when you come in the building. Ms. Hopkins will call them all down together before the show begins. You will leave as a family. 

               Do not use Student Bathrooms during school hours. Please use bathroom in nurses office or Mr. Dunnigan's office.

Week of May 27th

 Thank you everyone who helped to make our Pre-K Fun Week such an amazing success! And thank you God for the beautiful weather on most of our days were our activities were necessary to hold outside!

 The next two weeks will be focusing on preparing for our Moving Up Day. We will be going to the STS APR to practice on the stage as much as our schedule allows. If you are late to school and need to find us there is a great chance that we are in STS APR.

Please remember our last day of Pre-K is 6/6. 

Moving Up Day is 6/7 at 1:00pm in th STS APR. 

- Please bring the children to the Learning Center (our classroom) between 12:15 and 12:45 pm. 

- Your child will not need any jacket or back pack/bag.

- Children should be dressed UP for this special day. Do not over dress as it gets very hot on stage. Girls should wear shorts or leggings under their dress/skirt. Safe shoes for dancing and walking on stage are a must!

-We will begin at 1:00 and end around 2:00. There is a show and small reception.

- Fourth Grade Buddies and STS siblings will be invited down by Ms. Hopkins.

- If you have an older sibling, please sign them out of school when you enter the building. They will join you for the Moving Up Ceremony and will remain with you till the end. They do not need to return to class and you can all leave school as a family (no carline-YAY). 

- There is a bathroom in the nurse's office and in Mr. Dunnigan's office. Please DO NOT USE THE STUDENT BATHROOMS during school hours. 

- Please be on the lookout for a Sign Up from our room moms to help with our reception.

Week of May 20th

IT"S FUN IN THE SUN WEEK!!!!!!!

Please be sure you follow the weekly list of events that was sent home weeks ago. An email will go out to remind you of some of the necessary things your child will need for each day. 

If you signed up for SIGN UP GENIUS-please bring in your items on the day needed.

FRIDAY MAY 24th- BUDDY PICNIC SNACK

We will have a picnic snack with our buddies on Friday 5/24. Please pack your child's snack, and a beach towel into a shopping bag. LABEL, LABEL, LABEL!

This will be our last social event with our buddies. They will be watching our Moving Up Ceremony but not partaking in the reception.

5/24- Noon Dismissal-No Aftercare

5/27-No School-Memorial Day

6/5 Last Show N Tell-Anything you'd like to bring in and show us.

6/6 Last Day of Pre-K

Week of May 13th

This is our last week of our Alphabet studies!! This is always a bitter sweet week for me! I'm so proud and yet not ready to let go!!!

Letter of the Week: Zz and it's phonetic sound

Number of the Week: We will practice our numbers 1-20

God's Time: Our SEEDS series is complete. We will be practicing our Moving Up Songs, our prayers and learning a little bit more on the Golden Rule- Love One Another

Shape/Color of the Month: Multi-sided Shapes and Pink

Unit Theme: Bugs and Gardens

Scholastic Book Fair- We will be attending Book Fair at 9:15 on Monday May 13th. If you wish for your child to purchase a book at the fair, please send in a LABELED envelope with cash. About $10 should get them a book. If you use an electronic or advance payment option PLEASE let me know. I am only taking the children whom I know are purchasing.

Fun in the Sun Week: Begins on May 20th. Please refer to the letter sent out about Fun Week. I need all FOOD permission slips back before the week begins. Be on the look out for "Change in Weather" emails and blogs.

Week of May 6th

Happy May and Happy Spring! The weather has been beautiful and we have been so happy to enjoy the playground again!

5/9 Crowning of Blessed Mother Mary at 1:00 in church

5/13 at 9:15am STS Book Fair. If your child wishes to purchase a book please send them with a labeled envelope with the amount they may spend. About $10.00 should be able to get them a book that is perfect for them.
