Week of April 27th

Hope everyone is remaining healthy! I pray for each of your families every night!

Monday: Letter Xx. Letter Xx is difficult because not many words begin with the Letter Xx, so this week I will accept any word with the Letter Xx in it. It can be at the end like "boX" or in the middle like "eXit". Let's see how many words with an Xx we can find and list!

Tuesday: Number 19. 19 is Ten and Nine More! We are soooo close to 20!!!!

Wednesday: Superhero Day. Dress in a Superhero costume, shirt or make a cape with a towel. I would like each child to create a message (card, poster, sidewalk chalk etc...) for all the SUPER HEROES of today (medical staff, scientists, gov't officials, delivery and postal workers, fire and police dept., restaurant workers, volunteers, etc...)
If you could take a picture of your child in their costume and with their message I would like to put it together for St Therese Facebook Page. If you don't wish for your child to be in the Facebook Slideshow just let me know in the email.

Thursday: SEEDS (our religion program) 3rd Sunday of Easter-Jesus' Friend's know Him

Friday: Zoom Show N Tell. You can wear your Super Hero Costume to the meeting! Your Show N Tell can feature your Xx project, the number 19, Your Super Hero Message or a picture of a Family Member or friend you would love to have as a dinner guest. (SEEDS story)

Please keep practicing The Prayer of St. Therese. If your child is ready they can continue on to the next three lines.

Week of April 20th

Welcome Back!-Well sort of! I hope everyone is remaining healthy, enjoying their time together, and had a wonderful Easter!

Please remember as I send lessons and ideas for the children to continue learning remotely, it is completely to your discretion how much or how little you and your child are able to accomplish. Nothing has to be done in order. If your child prefers Tuesdays lesson to Wednesdays lesson then by all means-switch it up!

However, we will be meeting each Friday afternoon at 3:00pm on ZOOM for Show N Tell. Each Show N Tell should follow a theme or be part of a lesson from that week.

This Week:
Letter of the Week: Ww is for WALTER!!!! Walter you waited so long to finally have your special week! I hope mommy and daddy can find extra helper jobs for you this week. Maybe you can warm up their chair before dinner or help set the table (instead of hand out supplies)!

Number of the Week: We will review number 18.

God's Time: SEEDS Easter edition (April12 &19) Please practice the first 5 lines to the Prayer of St Therese. (sent via email)
We also continue to pray via Zoom everyday at 3:00 and 7:00pm. We have been offering our prayers for a St Therese family who is going through a very trying time. Message me if you need the prayer info and wish to join us.

Lesson of the Week: We Celebrate Earth Day!!!! I will post several activities to help you commemorate this day. Or if you have an idea please REPLY ALL and share with the class!

Wednesday - Zoom Easter Hat Party. Zoom has entered some new features so please check your email Wed. Morning for our new Code and Password.

In our SEEDS weekly Gospel lesson we hear the Story of Easter. You can go to Pflaum Gospel Weeklies and watch the Video for April 5th and 12th. under the SEEDS tab. The video best suited for PreK would be the Reading and Reflection Video.
The Beginners Bible -The Easter Story (On Youtube) is a great Movie for the children to understand a little more about the Passion Story of Easter without being to scary or sad.

As of now the earliest we will be returning to school will be May 4th.
